The Regional Appeal of the Šawelihcikewin Fundraising Campaign, for the restoration of Moose Factory's historic Old St. Thomas, received a huge boost from local business leaders during Moose Cree First Nation's annual Gathering of Our People last week. Archbishop Fred was present for the special covenant ceremony that took place on August 4, 2024, to transfer the primary control and management of the building from the Anglican Diocese of Moosonee to the Moose Factory community.
