"True hospitality means seeing a person not as ... a tourist, but as someone who belongs"
This spring, the MRHHA and Tourism Cochrane partnered to host Lisa McLeod, a former Ontario cabinet minister and the visionary behind Wandering Women: North of 50, a movement encouraging Canadian women over 50 to explore domestic destinations and support local communities.
Her visit to Cochrane, Moosonee and Moose Factory were one small part of a much larger trip, which you can read about here, but this comment says it all: " In the far North—in places like Cochrane, Moosonee and Moose Factory—I learned that true hospitality means seeing a person not as a guest or a tourist, but as someone who belongs."
